We currently have five Karmann Cabriolet Beetles available for hire. Each is slightly different generally down to the changes in the models over the years which is explained next to the photos of the cars below.
Karmann Cabriolet beetles were never actually produced by Volkswagen but under license to the coach builder Karmann of Osnabruck Germany which is the largest independent motor vehicle company in Germany. Karmann produced 331.847 Beetle Cabriolets between 1949 and 1980. Karmann were also responsible for the VW badged sports car the Karmann Ghia.

Here in order of age are our Classic Karmann Beetles.
Heidi has a 1600cc aircooled engine, she comes in candy white paint with matching standard wheels and VW hubcaps. This model has the early flat windscreen and long bonnet and also the church style tail lights. Heidi comes with a white interior and CD player.
Heidi has a black hood with a white and a black hood cover for use when the hood is down. Heidi is from Florida and is left hand drive. The body shape and style of this car is very similar to Jimmy and also the classic Beetle Limousines (mark 1&2).
Heidi has our trademark eyelids on her headlamps. Heidi is limited to an 65 mile radius from our base.* Team Heidi with Casper for a swingin' 60's combination.
Jimmy has a 1600cc engine and is painted in white with standard wheels to match. He has a black mohair hood and both black and white hood cover (tonneau cover). Jimmy is left hand drive imported from Germany and also a flat windscreen model with a long bonnet and church style tail lights.
Jimmy's interior is white and he has a red snooker ball on his gear stick! He has a CD radio. Jimmy and Heidi are ideal if you require 2 cars that match along with a classic Limousine.

Lola is a 1500cc 1303 Karmann cabriolet Beetle. Imported from Italy Lola is Left hand drive. She is painted in Candy white paint and has standard wheels painted white and Volkswagen hubcaps.
Lola is the later style round windscreen 1303 model with a black hood and a black and white interior. Lola has a wooden steering wheel and comes with a CD radio.
Lola has the larger elephants foot style rear lights. Lola is a very popular choice and has attended many weddings she is also able to travel that bit further at 80 miles maximum radius* from our base as she is quite fast and can therefore get to places quicker than some of the other cars we have.
There are many photos of lola around the web site for you to look at. We may also have access to a lovely black Karmann cabriolet owned by one of our Chauffeurs Michelle M if required.
Demis is a '*cream' 1600cc 1303 Karmann cabriolet Beetle with the round front windscreen. Also imported from Italy he is Left hand drive. Demis is painted in *harvest moon beige paint the same as the VW New beetle Cabriolets and has rare factory issue alloy wheels in silver.
Demis has a CD Radio, his rear lights are also the elephants foot style, Demis makes a good choice to go with our 1963 limousine Milo and Pepi and Herbie.
Demis has just had smart Burgundy seating and hood cover (not shown in this photo seen in album below) for the new wedding season 08. Ideal for a Burgundy themed wedding. This seating matches Mark II's interior.

Wilma is a 1600cc fuel injected 1303 Karmann cabriolet Beetle with the round front windscreen. She is from sunny California and is also Left hand drive. Wilma is painted white and has standard factory issue wheels in silver.
Wilma is the 'Champagne edition' Karmann Beetle and one of the last produced. She has a Champagne (cream) coloured hood and white hood cover. Her interior is also white as are her running boards.
Wilma has a CD radio player. Her tail lights are the larger shape but with custom rear lenses. Due to Wilma being a bit of a Gas guzzler and fuel injected she is also limited to an 65 mile maximum radius from base. *
Don't forget we do put the hoods up on the cars for travelling unless you want to travel with the hood down. It can get a bit windy with the hood down! Karmann Cabriolets have thick padded insulated roofs which are just as good if not better than a saloon car during the winter months.
Karmann Cabriolets are restricted to a maximum of 25 onward miles after your first collection.
Please note: None of the Karmann Cabriolets have rear seat belts so are not suitable for very young children or to fit child seats. The front seats do have seat belts.

Tip: When shopping around for wedding cars always ask the company offering the cars if it's possible to view them, if this is not possible do not book! Does the web site have full contact details and land line number and address of the owners? if not think twice, it is a legal requirement to add correct contact details if you are trading as a business. Remember photos you are looking at on brochures and web sites may have been taken 10 years ago and may not reflect the condition of the car today. Always ask what back up plan they have in case of a break down or a problem with the car prior to your day. We welcome viewings by appointment only and can accomodate week days and early evenings, I'm afraid we can not always cater for weekends due to the nature of our business.
