HOW TO BOOK

Seat up to 2/3 passengers (no very young children.)

Meet Pepi she is a 1965 1200cc Beetle saloon and is in immaculate shape for a lady of her advancing years. Pepi still has her original engine and 6 Volt electrics as she was intended over 44 years ago which is a rarity but makes her a very original example.

1965 VW Beetle hirePepi is in Superb condition, and has been featured in Volksworld Magazine May 1993.  She had 4 pages dedicated to her Concourse restoration.

A rainy day in Doncaster and Pepi poses for photos along with Craig and Rebecca on 1st August 2009.

Volkswagen Beetle hirePepi is limited to a maximum 65 miles including all onward travel from our base.* Pepi is not suitable for long onward journeys I'm afraid, maximum onward travel in Pepi is 20 miles from first collection address. Apart from her speed with passengers on board the driver has to drive quite close to the steering wheel to allow reasonable leg room behind the driver seat. Passenger seat is in the forward position and we seat the bride behind it to allow plenty of room for the wedding dress.

Herbie & PepiThis pair are identical in colour and look brilliant together. They can often be seen 'wing in wing' at weddings together!

They're like 2 peas in a pod and there seems to be a lilac ribbon theme occurring here, this is a different wedding to the photo above.

white Beetle wedding carMay 3rd 2009, Mr and Mrs Cole enjoying Pepi at their wedding in Castle Ashby.

Michael used to own an early Beetle just like Pepi so this journey was extra special for him.

Ivory beetle wedding carsIf you are looking for a nice pair for your day how about Milo? our 1963 Limo or Demis the soft top

while the car gets older the drivers just seem to be getting younger.

1960's beetle wedding hirePepi is a really nice traditional 1960's Beetle and because of her superb condition she turns heads where ever she goes. many Beetles have been altered and customised over the years and you don't see many left in Pepi's condition.

Traditional Beetle hirePepi at Hogarths in Solihull one of our regular reception venues. We have some great photo ideas for your photographer at this venue!

I'M SORRY PEPI IS NOT SUITABLE FOR WINTER WEDDINGS AS THE ROAD SALT IS VERY BAD FOR ELDERLY CARS. LIGHTING AND HEATING ARE POOR BY TODAYS STANDARDS AS SHE IS 6 VOLTS AND HEADLAMPS ARE LIKE CANDLES. Not available for weddings Nov - march

Beetle - Bride and GroomThis photo should give you an idea of space inside Pepi. Although she isn't huge there is ample space to get in and have a cuddle. If you have a huge dress with hoops it might be tight but we have never failed to get a bride into any of our cars.

Stanford hall VWPepi taken May 2009 Stanford Hall. This car is the early style Beetle with the sloping headlamps and matches very well with our 1963 Beetle limousine Milo.

Pepi and Herbie out together as usual in Buxton Derbyshire 2009.

Pepi dressed as Herbie pictured at Dubs in the Park 2005 promoting the launch of the new film, we won the best display car award voted by the public! Herbie was wearing magnetic Herbie livery.

Chris Clarke from Peppercorn  (hence car being called Pepi)restored her to Concourse condition in 1992 and she has remained a beautiful example. Notice the 53 in her number plate! Destined to be a love bug!

just in case you were unsure Pepi is on the right!

This is Jimmy (father of the bride Mel) with the ice bucket and champers next to Pepi dressed as Herbie!

Pepi as Herbie attending a wedding dressed in white ribbons.

Pepi / Herbie is polar white, and original, she even has her Blauplunkt radio from the 60's, and has 6V electrics! She is a real head turner. Sadly I can only get radio frankfurt and the sports channel on her radio! Did we not have BBC radio 1 in the 60's?

This is Stacey and her Father on their way to the church in Pepi as Herbie. 7th May 05

This was Pepi's "Maiden Voyage" Ruth Lapper and her Father on their way to Church, 28th November 2004.

3 beautiful bridesmaids making their way to church in Pepi 2005. Please note due to Pepi's age there are no rear seat belts.

Pepi is the centre of Attention at her first wedding 2004.

Pepi has rare "pop out" rear windows for ventilation.

Pepi has a cream /beige interior and looks stunning with the parcel shelf dressed in flowers.

A shot of Pepi's  interior. Interior was from DB Car Trim based in Blackpool. We highly recommend him!

Pepi in her black and white ribbons attending Claire & Justins wedding with Lola on 19th Feb 05.

Pepi joins Lola to take the page boys to the wedding.

Photos like these will make you smile for years to come.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Pepi is limited to a maximum 65 mile radius from base and less during the winter as she has 6 volt lights which are not ideal for night driving, candles would be more suitable! In the winter months we may not use Pepi due to visibility, if it is icy Pepi is not suitable and we will provide an alternative (heavier) car with 12 volt electrics for safety. Beetles are light on the front end especially with a rear engine and rear seat passengers so in ice we have to consider this. (This notice also applies to Herbie) Remember our cabriolets do have thick padded roofs and we don't drive with them down when it's cold!

BEETLE DRIVE WOULD LIKE TO THANK MANDY & PAUL FROM CANTERBURY FOR PARTING WITH PEPI and we would like to congratulate them on their recent engagement!
